Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept BC autism funding through BC government?

Yes. We can support families who use BC Autism Funding. We can also help families understand and navigate the funding process, including basic guidance with paperwork, service setup, and claim-related steps.

We support children, teens, and young adults. Our services are planned based on each person’s needs, goals, and stage of development.

No. You are welcome to connect with us with no obligation to start services. We can answer your questions, learn about your needs, and explain how our support works. You can decide what feels right for your family.

We offer in-home services and online support. However, based on the individualized plan, there may also be scheduled community outings, such as visits to a community centre, day care, local library, or other community-based locations.

Online sessions may be helpful for parent coaching, teen skill-building, consultation, and follow-up support.

Services can usually start after the intake process, review of needs, service agreement, and funding/payment setup are complete. During the process we will assign BI.

Parent involvement is completely optional. However, families with limited approved funding may benefit even more from parent participation, as it helps caregivers learn strategies they can use during daily routines outside of sessions.

We serve families in the Lower Mainland, Greater Victoria area and Fraser Valley. Online services may also be available to families in other areas of British Columbia.

We offer services in English, Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, Cantonese, and other languages. Families may submit a language request, and we will do our best to arrange support based on availability.

At SparkNest Consultants, we use  client centered approach. We do not believe one model fits every child. The support plan depends on the child’s needs, strengths, communication style, family goals, and comfort level. Our goal is to provide support that is respectful, practical, and tailored to each child. We focus on helping children build meaningful skills in everyday settings.
